Maybe these guys missed something back here...
- Nino: Oh hey, the pot here has stuff in it!
- Five: Ooo, what's this... tiny stick?
- Aria: That's an incense stick!
- Nino: Did you miss this while checking earlier or something?
- Reed: No... it just didn't seem important enough to mention.
- Nino: No way, EVERYTHING here could be important, dude!
- Nino: Don't skip any of the details next time, you hear!?
- Reed: Then you should join the goddamned search instead of barking orders at us.
- Meimona: Hey, this makes no sense!
- Meimona: You use incense for good smells, like when you have guests over...
- Meimona: But who the heck would ever visit these super hidden rooms?
- Reed: I'm sure the big shots here are aware of their existence, at least.
- Nino: Aurora didn't seem to know THIS much, though.
- Nino: If she did know, then she sure kept it to herself.
- Five: I don't think Aurora lied!
- Five: Because... Aurora hates liars and lying, sooo much!
- Meimona: Yeah, agreed! She's a good, HONEST kid.
- Reed: Note that last part - kid.
- Reed: Not someone you'd trust with this kind of information, is it?
- Aria: Mhm. She probably has no real knowledge about what's hidden here.
- Nino: This is all likely top secret stuff...
- Aria: By the way, the stick does look like it's been used before.
- Aria: I can even smell slight smoke from it!
- Meimona: So there really are people coming all the way here? The heck...
- Reed: The other room had some more incense in it too, by the way.
Nino: Try finding a way to light up the unlit torch on one or both of the rooms.

- Aria: Could the sticks be some kind of clue?
- Meimona: I dunno! Try burning one of them and see what happens!
- Meimona: Auh, wait, how're we gonna do that, though...
- Nino: Wait, speaking of!
- Nino: Is there any way we could set the torches on fire, too?
- Meimona: Weeell, same way we could light up the incense with?
- Aria: I know! We can use one of the torches in the central room to do that!
- Meimona: Oh yeah! Alright then, let's go do that!
- Reed: Backtracking again?
- Reed: Nah, let's not.
Reed: Use LEVEL-03 HEATSTORM to light the torch.

All you have to do is let your laser heat the flammable tip of the torch.
- Reed: There. Way more convenient.
- Meimona: Woooaaaah!
- Five: Fire... big fire!
- Aria: Oh my, how convenient indeed!
- Nino: Wow! That's kind of overkill, though...
- Meimona: Who cares, it looks COOL as HECK!
Party: Light only the torch in the diamond eye room - leave the other room dark.

Nino and Aria: Stand on the diamond pupiled eye.

- Meimona: Nino! Go stand on the eye!
- Nino: W-what? Why me?
- Meimona: It's got your symbol on it, duh!
- Meimona: Aria, too! Get together now, you two!
- Nino: Huh. Alright, why not...
- Aria: What about Reed?
- Meimona: Oh, whoops. I forgot he's one of you too.
- Meimona: I tooootally don't think of him as more robo-boy than human sometimes.
- Reed: ...You can't be serious.
- Meimona: Eheheheheheh! C'mon, group up!
- Five: All humans... together!
- Five: Stand on big eye! And hold hands!
- Reed: What? No.
- Aria: Aww, c'mon! It's harmless fun!
- Nino: He's scared of your icky cooooooooties.
- Aria: I-I have gloves on, it's fine! C'mon.
- Reed: ...Not gonna deny the cooties thing...?
---->

- Aria: Ummm... what now?
- Reed: Well, nothing seems to be happening.
- Nino: Eh, it costs nothing to try stuff out.
- Reed: Other than wasting my time, sure.
- Five: Reed... is the evil cootie upsetting you?
- Reed: That is not real, Five. Don't believe everything weird these guys say.
- Aria: Reed, are you, possibly... upset that Mei forgot to include you at first?
- Reed: No. I just kinda hate this genre of dungeon, actually.
- Reed: Can't they design things more straightforward for once?
- Nino: Let me guess, you want a linear dungeon to play? A literal hallway?
- Reed: If the alternative is backtracking 10 times just to move to the next room?
- Reed: Then damn right I do.
- Nino: Hah! At least non-linear dungeons make you use your brains, for once.
- Reed: At least the hallway respects my damn time, you know?
- Aria: Stop getting sidetracked! We're not in a game...
- Meimona: Let's go light up the other torch! It'll probably do the trick!
---->

- Aria: Guys, wait... look at the mural!
- Aria: It's glowing!
- Meimona: What the heck? How's it doing that!?
- Nino: Oh! That corresponds to the torch we just lit up, doesn't it?
- Reed: So... lighting up the other one should complete the mural, huh.
- Meimona: Whoa, so this thing is like a DUNGEON MAP!!!
- Nino: Let's go try it out!
Ludwig: Stand on the crescent pupiled eye.

- Meimona: Ludwig, boy! Sit right here!
- Ludwig: Brork?
- Nino: Why Ludwig specifically?
- Meimona: Well, the symbol's neither human nor monster, sooo...
- Meimona: Maybe it stands for a secret third thing, liiike spirits!
- Reed: Oh, so that's why you brought him in this time.
- Aria: Hey! My Ludwig's no spirit!
- Reed: Eh. He looks close enough if you ask me.
- Aria: No way! He's a LOYAL boy. Not a filthy backstabber.
- Nino: ...Good thing your spirit buddy isn't here to get offended by that, I guess?
- Meimona: Now, Reed! Light up the torch, do it!
- Reed: On it.
- Five: Oooh! Here it comes, Boyfriend!
- Five: BIIIIIIIIIIG fire! Hahahahahahahahah!
- Boyfriend: MOAW...!?!?
- Aria: Hey, don't get carried away up there!
- Nino: You're raising her to be a little arsonist...
- Meimona: Blame his arm-cannon-thingies for being so dang cool!
- Reed: Yeah. Not my fault that burning things objectively looks cool, either.
- Aria: That's not true!
- Five: It is true! It's soooooo daaaaarn coooool!!!
- Aria: ... D:
Party: Check the mural again.

- Aria: Look, it's glowing on the other side now!
- Aria: But the door's still locked...
- Meimona: Siiiigh, that means nothing happened again!
- Meimona: And here I thought my eye-symbol-matching idea was soooo genius. :[
- Nino: I think the temple's just not on your level of puzzle design...
- Aria: Hey, doesn't the timing of each glow seem mismatched to you guys?
- Reed: Yeah. I think we missed the correct solution somehow.
- Meimona: Shouldn't we get a key as a reward for all that work, at least?
- Meimona: I mean, making this mural glow has gotta be part of the solution!
- Nino: If the glowing parts correspond to the torches, then...
- Nino: Maybe we just have to make the rhythm match up.
- Meimona: But how would we do that?
- Aria: Maybe we have to light them up at the same time?
- Nino: Yeah, probably! That's the only thing I can think of.
- Meimona: Oooh! So we should split up and try it again!
- Aria: First, we'll need a way to light up the torches on both ends...
- Nino: And a way to make sure we do it at the exact same time, too.
- Meimona: Auh, now how the heck could we possibly synchronize any of this?
- Reed: ...Sigh.
- Reed: If that's what it comes down to,
- Reed: Then I guess I can do something convenient again.
Reed: *POP*

- Nino: Woah! Your arm...!
- Meimona: I-it came right off!
- Reed: Look. We're going to split up. I'll be on one end,
- Reed: And someone else can take the other way with my other cannon.
- Reed: That ensures we can light up both of the torches on demand.
- Reed: You following so far?
- Meimona: Ummm... yeah.
- Nino: I... believe so, yep.
- Meimona: That is so cool though, dude.
- Aria: Reed... does that hurt?
- Reed: ...No. Not at all.
- Reed: Don't you guys know what a prosthetic is?
- Reed: You can just take those off and stuff.
- Aria: Ohh! Right, yes...
- Reed: This really shouldn't be mindblowing at all, you know.
- Nino: I think we're just... taken aback by how casual you're acting!
- Reed: It's just an arm. Stop overreacting.
---->

- Reed: Anyway, now for the communication part...
- Reed: My phone can connect to the embedded device in my other arm.
- Reed: So, someone on the other side will take both the arm cannon and phone.
- Reed: I'll establish a connection between the phone and the embedded device,
- Reed: And then we can communicate via voice.
- Reed: That way, we'll be able to control the timing on lighting up the torches.
- Reed: You got all that?
- Nino: Hang on, your arm's a SECOND PHONE too!?
- Aria: How... how supremely convenient!
- Meimona: Woooooooow, you don't even need to carry that mobile phone around!
- Reed: ...Uh-huh.
- Reed: Now to see which one of you is responsible enough for this.
- Reed: Err... Aria? Can you, uh... take the cannon?
- Reed: you're already a good markswoman, so...
- Aria: Yes, yes, absolutely! Leave it to me!
- Aria: I just have to light the torch with it, right?
- Reed: Yeah. I'll try to make this simple and easy for you.
- Reed: Just press this one button right here to make the cannon do a quick blast.
- Aria: Alright...
- Reed: Do not press anything else.
- Reed: And don't hold the button down, either.
- Aria: Oh, um, okay.
- Reed: Everything's perfectly set up.
- Reed: Do not try to change anything about it, ever.
- Aria: O-okay, okay! I got it...!
- Reed: And don't do anything with the phone besides talking into it, either.
- Reed: But, hm... handling both seems like a handful for one person.
- Reed: Someone should stick with you to hold the phone and give you the timing.
---->

- Meimona: Oooh, can I go with-
- Aria: Ah! Nino, could you come with-
- Meimona: Wuh... nevermind, then! That's okay!
- Aria: ...Huh?
- Nino: Oh?
- Aria: ...Oh my, you can come with me if you want, Mei!
- Meimona: Nonononono, it's alright! I'll be fine!
- Meimona: You can go with Nino instead, if you prefer!
- Aria: But, you spoke up first...
- Meimona: Naaaah, it's cool! I don't mind at all!
- Nino: Shhhhh, ladies, ladies!
- Nino: There's no need to argue like that.
---->

- Nino: The three of us can go together!
- Nino: That's all good with you, right, Reed?
- Reed: Huh.
- Nino: Sorry, dude, but as you can see,
- Nino: The girls are allllll over me today, apparently.
- Nino: Nothing I can do about that, you know?
- Aria: Eugh.
- Meimona: Wow.
---->

- Aria: Actually, Mei and I should just go together.
- Meimona: Ahaaa, that suddenly sounds MUCH better, yes.
- Nino: What!?
- Aria: And you two can take the other path!
- Meimona: Yeah! We don't want you no more, stinky Ninoooo.
- Nino: But- but you just-
- Aria: Besides, a two-and-two split seems more even, doesn't it?
- Meimona: Come on, Aria! Let's beat them to the other side!
- Meimona: It's girls versus booooys!
- Reed: Okay, glad that's settled.
- Reed: Mei gets the phone.
- Meimona: Lemme take care of the cannon instead, Reed!
- Reed: No. You'll do the communicating.
- Reed: I don't trust you not to play with fire.
- Meimona: Boooo! Fiiiiine...
- Five: I wanna... go with Aria! Wanna see big fire again!
- Aria: Hmmm... alright, just don't get too close to it, okay?
- Aria: This time, I'm going to teach you proper fire safety. ^^
- Nino: HEY, don't ignore me! Weren't you just asking to go toge-
- Meimona: LALALALALALALA, can't hear youuuuu!
- Meimona: LET'S GO, GIRLS! ONWARDS!
---->

- Nino: No, wait, c-come back...
- Nino: I didn't mean it, guys! I...
- Nino: I just wanted to feel POPULAR, dammit!
- Reed: ...You were saying?
- Nino: H-haha, sorry about that, Reed! I was joking!
- Nino: Between the two of us, we'll get this done way faster anyway! Probably...
- Reed: You don't have to sound that disappointed about it.
- Nino: I-I'm not! I just, uhhh...
- Nino: Hey, you're not really offended by that, are you?
- Reed: As if I'd care.
- Reed: Go follow them if you want to.
- Reed: I'm used to working alone anyway.
- Nino: ...Uuuh... nah...
- Nino: I think I'll stick with you.
- Nino: It'll be annoying if they started mocking me again.
- Reed: With the way you acted? Oh, they definitely will.
- Nino: Yikes! I'd better just preserve what's left of my dignity here.
- Reed: You reap what you sow, idiot.
Nino: Hide in shame.

Reed's totally taken charge of the mission now, and he seems to be handling just about everything. Of course, he has all the tools he needs already too, so you just end up trailing behind him all useless-like.
And thanks to your stupidity, the mood feels super awkward...
Nino: Fix that! Talk about something, anything.

You're just digging yourself in deeper.

--/-->

- Nino: Wait... that's not true, though?
- Nino: Maybe with Meimona, sure...
- Nino: But I think you're way closer to Aria than I am.
- Reed: ...Uh?
- Reed: No?
- Nino: What do you mean "no"?
- Reed: What do you mean I'm "way closer" to her?
- Reed: You're out of your mind if you think like that.
- Nino: I'm just stating an observation...
- Reed: Get real and stop talking nonsense.
- Reed: It just seems so because we went through some dangers together.
- Reed: That's literally all it is.
Maybe the same could be said for you and Meimona too.
It's only been a short while, yet both of you have already shared a bit of your hidden vulnerabilities, thanks to everything you went through.
Wait, uh-oh. It's getting awkwardly quiet again.
Oh god, that was definitely a terrible note to end the conversation on!
Nino: START YAPPING, FAST.

- Nino: Uuum! I gotta say, it's crazy how well prepared you are, man!
- Nino: You sure do take visiting this world seriously, huh?
- Reed: You have to.
- Reed: Especially if you're doing everything alone.
- Nino: Right, of course...
- Reed: Now focus on the task at hand.
In the first place, it's not like he talks about himself too often anyway. But, out of your entire group, you've probably spoken the least to one another, right?
It's rare that you can have a one-on-one conversation, as well.
Might as well take this chance to ask some questions, and make this guy less of a mystery in your mind.
- Reed: First, we need to put this fire out.
- Nino: Let's see, how can we do that... wait, oh, crap!
- Nino: I just realized they're gonna have to do that on their side too!
- Reed: Yeah? They'll probably figure it out on their own.
- Reed: If not, then we can just tell them how we did it.
- Nino: Oh... you're right, yeah.
Better start racking your brains, then!
> Nino: Lick the door! You know you want to!
In this episode of Oceanfalls
NINO IS A FUCKING MISOGYNIST\hj
Nino: Try and find out more about his family.
Nino: Ask what happened to his arms.
Nino: Realize you're being insensitive.
Nino: Blow it out.
Reed: Try LEVEL-01 - GUST.
Nino: Smother the fire with your cape.
